Taking Care of Our Mental Health

Mental health is a crucial factor in productivity and emotional well-being. Particularly in times of stress, it’s important to maintain awareness of mental health conditions, to educate people about the range of symptoms, and to reduce the stigma. Physical health issues such as broken bones are rarely questioned, but this is not the case with the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions. The COVID-19 global pandemic and its associated disruptions have triggered symptoms such as anxiety and depression in employees and staff. Working remotely or being deemed essential and not being able to work from home, fearing for the health and safety of one’s self, family, and friends, or being concerned about losing a job are all factors that can make community members vulnerable to mental health crises.

Now more than ever, it is important to check in with one another and encourage self-care, both physically AND mentally. With real-time two-way communication, LiveSafe helps promote mental health awareness and keep community members safe, while also providing easy access to both organization-specific and national mental health resources.

Use this Toolkit to provide your organization with resources for mental health awareness.
